New Approaches: Sessions I+II
Z. Bern and L. Dixon   (Conveners)

A list of topics to be covered

  • Recent improvements to twistor and analytic-based approaches
    •    four-dimensional unitarity method
    •    techniques for rational parts
      • d-dimensional unitarity
      •  factorization-based (bootstrap) methods
      • direct diagrammatic approaches
    •    new loop integration methods
  • Automation and standardization of new approaches
  •  Progress and prospects for attacking the unsolved problems from the 2005 Les Houches wish list:
    •  VV + 1 jet
    •   ttbb
    •  tt + 2 jets
    •   VVbb
    •   VV + 2 jets
    •   V + 3 jets
    •   VVV
  •  Discussion of other important processes, such as multi-jets and V + 4 jets
  • The issue of including masses in loops (e.g. the top quark) in the new approaches
  • Maximizing information transfer between new approaches and more traditional ones,
      in order to improve both
  • Discussion of any new formal developments, which may lead to new insights and further improvements; for example
    •   Lagrangian-based proofs of MHV and CSW rules
    •   Space-cone gauge
    •   Feynman tree and largest-time decompositions
  • These topics will be helpful as a precursor to the
    GGI workshop on collider physics
